Personalising Golf Mental Toughness
Their are a lot of books already written about Golf Mental Toughness. Basically this books will outline a course of action to take. So one of the guys from your Saturday morning group, swears by it, saying this has saved his game. The other guy, who also bought the book, thinks it was a waste of money. How can you get 2 very different points of view on the same book??
For the first guy, the other part that he also had was the inner belief that this was the answer that he was looking for to improve his golf game and he applied himself to all that was written inside. He made a commitment to improving his golf game and stuck to it. Along the few short weeks that this was happening, he had a few setbacks, but this was insignificant to the overall gains, that he felt was coming together, in his game and nothing was a problem, anymore.
The second guy, was not as committed to his golf game. This was more of an escape for him. The path of least resistance. In anything you do you must make a commitment. Religion aside, why do you think they called it the ten commandments. Ok we clear on that. This is also a two way street, keep your commitment to others and keep commitments to yourself. If at anytime you feel you need a hand, in keeping your commitments, send me an e-mail
2007 is just around the corner, improvement in your golf game is not going to happen without, you putting in some effort or the commitment to do something about your game. Find some quiet moments, during this festive season, to sit down and plot out your golf commitment for the coming year. The trick to this, is to take small steps, towards your big picture. All this planning comes undone when we take on more then we can handle. Remember when we get frustrated, we are taking on more then we can do.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL
